Holedall®- The original Swaged Coupling and still the best
Welcome to this new section in our catalogue on the Holedall® Coupling System, which includes Internal Expansion, External Swage and External Crimp Couplings, and to complement the coupling range - 3 models of Hydraulic Internal Expansion Machines.
Based upon the already highly successful Holedall®/Mulconroy Coupling System, which has been manufactured and marketed by our parent company - Dixon Valve & Coupling since 1940 in the United States. This comprehensive range has been specifically designed and developed to service the needs of the European market.
The Holedall® coupling system provides a safe and cost effective method of outstanding strength and durability of attaching couplings to hose. Ease of operation, flexibility and economy make the Holedall® method an unrivaled hose assembly system.
Our intention is to provide a service second to none. Coupling stocks are held in both the UK and also at Dixon Deutschland GmbH in Koln. This ensures speedy availability across Europe at all times, and is supported by an experienced team of Sales and Applications Engineers.
With Internal Expansion and External Swage Couplings, the system utilises a cold worked draw type progressive swage method which gives a full 360°uninterrupted expansion or compression band around the hose, giving superb coupling retention and end load characteristics.
Our range of External Crimp Couplings offers an alternative safe and secure method of producing hose assemblies up to 4" nominal bore by utilising widely available Crimping Presses.
The 3 models of Hydraulic Internal Swaging Machines described in this section of the catalogue are well-engineered and of a compact design. Operation is simplicity itself and economical with only one size of expansion tool required for each hose I.D. The Internal Expansion method should always be used when maximum flow, reduced turbulence and where hygienic conditions are important.
Only quality assured, seamless materials are used in the manufacture of Holedall® couplings, with materials used for swaging having been checked to establish the yield strength to ensure that brittle fracture does not occur. Certification in accordance with BSEN 10204 3.1.B / DIN 50049 3.1.B. is available with all couplings.
Holedall® couplings are used in Offshore Rig Supply Hose Assemblies Type Approved by Det Norske Veritas and Lloyds Register of Shipping.
